VOL 42: SUPREME x LACOSTE, ANTISOCIALSOCIALCLUB & RAISED BY WOLVES

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. SUPREME x LACOSTE COLLAB

Did someone call for a collection of velour in 2018? No? Well it’s here anyways. Lacoste & Supreme got together for a new collection of jackets, track suits, and polos. Oh and a velour bucket hat. The whole collection became available on Friday. April 20th. Need more info? Hit the link HERE.

 2. ANTISOCIALSOCIALCLUB & BAPE

Another collaboration? Sure thang. BAPE and ANTISOCIALSOCIALCLUB announced their LA tribute collection this week. Presumably the timing of this is to coincide with BAPE’s new flagship store in LA. The collection, you know the deal. T-shirts, hoodies, etc. The colour-way. Looks to be Laker’s related? Yellow, Purple, White. Check out some more pics HERE.

3. RAISED BY WOLVES x TIMBERLAND

ANOTHER COLLAB. This one with a little Canadian touch. Montreal-based brand, Raised by Wolves has teamed up with Timberland for a new boot. All black colour-way and Timb’s Killington Hiker model. What do ya think? HYPE or Trash?

VOL 41: INTRO TO 032c, JETER’S JORDANS & CASEY NEISTAT

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. YOUR INTRO TO 032c

A fashion magazine? I guess? 032c is a publication based out of Berlin that has been finding its place within the international fashion scene. Content is often rangy, and at times the mag seems to not be about fashion at all. High Snobiety put out an excellent article walking us through the complex (yet simple?) ethos of the publication. If you’re into fashion, it’s worth the read. Check it out HERE.

 2. JETER'S JORDANS

Were you one of the 5 people that got these last year? Did you pay $40,000 for em? Well if not you still have a chance. Baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter is releasing his take on the Jordan 11 this spring to the public. Rumors are the date will be May 14th. What do you think of the shoe though hmmmm?

3. CASEY NEISTAT BUYS SNEAKERS

Sneaker Shopping is a show where people buy sneakers on camera. I’m still not sure if the show pays for them or the people pay for them, or why it is so interesting to watch a celebrity spend thousands of dollars, but it is, and I do. Here is the internet legend himself Casey Neistat doing just that. Check it below.

VOL 40: THE NORTH FACE, GUESS COLLAB & CONVERSE OFF-WHITES?

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. THE NORTH FACE x SUPREME COLLAB 2018

Space cadets we’ve found our uniform. SUPREME and THE NORTH FACE have had a long history of highly sought-after collabs and this latest one is no exception. Metallic parkas, overalls, caps and more are all available in the latest drop. Only problem is these sold out QUICK. Your best bet now it to get them from a re-seller. Nonetheless, check out the whole lineup of goodies at the link HERE.

 2. GUESS JUMPS ON THE HYPE

Fresh off his wildly successful shoe collab with NIKE, the nicest guy in streetwear, SEAN WOTHERSPOON is back teasing another collab, this time with GUESS. The preview photo below shows off the colourful array of items that will be dropping soon. No official release date as of yet, but I will keep you freaks posted.

3. OFF-WHITE x CONVERSE

I really don’t want to cover OFF-WHITE in every one of these, but they keep doing interesting shit! The streetwear giant is back, this time offering us a peak at a new kick with CONVERSE. What do you think? Is this O/W aesthetic kinda played now, or are you still feeling it?

VOL 39: BROCKHAMPTON, NEW NIKES, 7 QUESTIONS W/VIRGIL

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA’S AF1’S

Swedish House Mafia, a group I’ve never heard of (I’m sorry) has collabed with Nike for a new Air Force 1 drop. Because three check marks are better than one. I’ll be honest I wrote about these people simply because I like these sneakers. Check the link HERE for more info.

 2. BROCKHAMPTON MERCH

Everyone’s favourite boy band (my apoligies to NSYNC) BROCKHAMPTON is back. The hip-hop collective has revealed their new series of merch this week. Bright colours, blue/orange/yellow themed tees and hoodies for your wearing pleasure. If you’re looking to cop, everything drops tomorrow (April 2nd). Link HERE.

3. LOUIS VUITTON x VIRGIL ABLOH

So I guess the biggest news this week in streetwear...fashion was Virgil Abloh of the brand OFF-WHITE signing on to be the creative director at LOUIS VUITTON. This seems like a big moment in fashion. A big-time, fancy-ass, fashion house bringing in a streetwear designer. Not to over simplify his accomplishments to just that, but this streetwear movement is becoming the crux of fashion it seems. Check the video below for a short clip of Virgil explaining the move.

VOL 38: TWO KITH DROPS, INTRO TO MILFDAD & BIRDMAN

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. KITH ANNOUNCES MORE NEW THINGS

New York’s KITH is on a roll. After coming off a well-received 2017, the streetwear giant is back with two new collections; one being a collab with jacket manufacturer COLUMBIA & the other a military inspired collection. The Element Agency Exploration collection with Columbia features bright pinks and pale blues to compliment that classic Columbia jacket steez. The Military collection by Kith Women is a 5-piece set with traditional camo pattern on jackets, pants & dressed. Check out the entirety of the collections at the link HERE.

 2. SAY HI TO MILFDAD

Another New York brand, MILFDAD just showed off their latest Spring collection, and it’s pretty cool (maybe just because the name is amazing? I dunno). Grabbing from that popular sporty aesthetic, this collection is comprised of mostly hoodies, t-shirts & track suits emblazoned with the ICONIC MILFDAD branding. Check the whole collection at the link HERE.

3. BIRDMAN BUYS ALL THE SNEAKERS

One of my favourite Youtube programs is back again, this time with BIRDMAN. Complex’s show Sneaker Shopping featured the legendary hip-hop mogul on their latest episode. He did what you would expect. He bought a lot of sneakers. But the conversations was pretty cool too. Check it out below.

VOL 37: SUPREME, SEAN WOTHERSPOON & ZAEA’S AUGMENTED REALITY

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. SUPREME x UNDERCOVER x PUBLIC ENEMY

New York-based streetwear giant SUPREME released a widely anticipated collab this week with Jun Takahashi of Japanese brand, UNDERCOVER, AND legendary hip hop group, PUBLIC ENEMY. Inspired by Public Enemy’s acclaimed album “Fear of a Black Planet”, this collection features all-over print & patched jackets, a custom skate deck & even pair of Doc Martens. One of my favourite YouTuber’s “The Unknown Vlogs” took to the Supreme drop in London to give us a taste of the hype that is Supreme. Check it out below

 2. SEAN WOTHERSPOON’S AIR MAX RELEASE

What happens when passion carries you. Sean Wotherspoon has quite a story. The owner of the popular Hollywood streetwear store/hub ROUND TWO has gone from humble beginnings in Virginia, to collabing on one of the best shoes of 2017 with Nike. His take on the Air Max 97 silhouette was a hit last year upon reveal, and now they are about to release on March 26th. For a quick intro to the human that is Sean Wotherspoon, check the video below.

3. ZARA’S AUGMENTED REALITY

Things are about to get weird in 120 ZARA stores. The fast-fashion giant is launching a 2 week pilot of an augmented reality app. What does this mean you ask. Well. If  you go into one of these shops you can pull out your phone Pokemon Go style and see models walking around and interact with product information with your device. A smartstore if you will. Something that was introduced to me by LA’s Marathon Clothing & Nispsey Hussle. Looks like the trend is continuing. Click here to see more.

Jeez. Virgil went so hard with his OFF-WHITE Fall/Winter 2018 collection...he started a riot. Link to the full runway show HERE

VOL 32: RAF SIMONS, YEEZY SEASON 6 & JIMMY BUTLER

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. RAF AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

With the fashion world watching, RAF SIMONS led his models down a hazy winding runway strewn with flowers and liquor bottles to present his FALL/WINTER 2018 capsule titled ”Youth in Motion”. The capsule was heavily influenced by Raf’s view on todays drug culture and it’s impact on youth. Pretty heavy stuff. Check out some of the looks HERE.

2. YEEZY SEASON

Ye is back with more gear. This week we got our first look at some of the new kicks in Kanye West’s Season 6 line. Dubbed this Crepe Sneaker, this suede low-top is definitely dividing critics. What do you think? Check out more details HERE.

3. JIMMY BUTLER'S ON-COURT FLEX

You ever just run around on $14,000? Well Jimmy Butler did just that this week, playing in Eminem x Carhartt Jordan IV’s...a shoe that re-sells for yes...$14K. But shoes are meant to be worn right?
