VOL 22: THE HUNDREDS, NIKE HUMARAS & TIPS FROM VIRGIL

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. THE HUNDREDS x ANAMANIACS

West-coast streetwear brand The Hundreds are getting some hype for their latest collab with Anamaniacs. You know. That 90’s cartoon with the annoying ass theme song? Despite my distain for that song, this collab is a perfect fit for The Hundred’s brand. If you’re looking to cop, click here.

The Hundres Anamaniacs

2. NIKE HUMARA x SUPREME

It wouldn’t be a COOLPANTS without Supreme, so here we go again. They released these recently. A play on the Nike Humara. Complex did an episode of their web-series ‘Don’t Believe the Hype’ to see if people were fucking with these or not. I’ll be honest. These just aren’t for me. Find out what everyone else thought below.

3. 5 TIPS ON CREATIVITY FROM 5 FAMOUS CREATIVES

High Snobiety pulled together something very cool. They dug through all their content, and found 5 important tips on creativity from 5 of the most important people in fashion. Kanye West, Virgil Abloh, Demna Gvasalia, Rei Kawakubo and Tom Sachs all chipped in on this article. Definitely worth checking out HERE.

VOL 20: NEW BALENCIAGA, MOTO FEAR OF GOD & STRANGER THINGS

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. BALENCIAGA IS FOR SINNERS

Fashion titan Balenciaga are back with a fire capsule collection called Sinners. This may be my favourite releases from the fashion house yet this year. That crew below I’m really feeling. Check out all the new pieces here.

Balenciaga

2. FEAR OF GOD GOES MOTO

US-based streetwear brand Fear of God is back with a new moto-inspired line. All over graphics and lots of long-sleeved w/ letter print. The whole moto look has been around for a minute now, but the collection is worth checking out.

3. STRANGER THINGS SOCKS

You ever love a show so much that your like, “Damn, I wish I could wear this on my feet”. No? I mean me either but Stance just released some Stranger Thing’s socks, and I’m not mad at 'em. Personally my sock game could use and upgrade and season 2 was pretty fire, so I may indulge. If you’re looking to cop, link here.

VOL 19: FAKE SUPREME, FILA x PINK DOLPHIN & PALACE x CIROC

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. FAKING SUPREME

This week Complex’s show “Don’t Believe the Hype” tested a fake Supreme tee vs a real one. People around the Complex office were asked if they could decipher between the real (re-selling for $300+) and the fake (a $35 screenprint job). Check the video below. If you don’t have time though...the answer was no...they could not tell the difference. Make your own shirts people. I mean except for mine. Def buy mine so I can eat.

2. FILA x PINK DOLPHIN

Pink Dolphin teamed up with FILA for a very cool collab. Most of the line is based on black & white garments with bright blue and pink graphics (signature to the Pink Dolphin brand). The release is now available at the link in my bio. Things are selling out quick, so if you’re looking to cop, do it now HERE.

Pink DOlphin Fila

3. PALACE x CIROC

The collabs continue. Ciroc joined forces with Palace for a signature vodka. I feel like at this point we can expect Supreme branded toilets, and Bape lawn chairs in the near future. What is the most outrageous thing I could put my brand on? Hm. I’m taking suggestions.

Oh. and Palace opened a sweet new skatepark this week too. Check out the vid here.

VOL 18: GUCCI SWEATBANDS, DRAGON BALL Z & COMME DES GARCONS

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. $270 GUCCI SWEATBANDS

This week GUCCI dropped a $270 sweatband. Why you may ask. Well probably for the same reason that Supreme released a brick last year (yes...a real brick). Brands dropping outlandish things to get press has been common place these days, especially in fashion. On one hand, it’s a clear lure for media, but at least it’s a little more creative right? I don’t know. I guess if you’re in the market for a new sweatband and have cash to blow check this one out HERE.

2. DRAGON BALL Z x REMIX COLLAB

When I grew up, Dragon Ball Z was the shit so I’m covering this news whether you like it or not. Taiwanese streetwear brand REMIX just teased a collaborations with the legendary 90’s cartoon Dragon Ball Z. Comprised of crewnecks, long-sleeves, and tees, this drop is small, but mighty. It seems like the creators of Dragon Ball Z have realized the nostalgic appeal of the show. Last year they did a collab with BAPE, now this. I’m assuming we can expect more Goku inspired digs very soon. Check the whole collection at the link here.

3. COMME DES GARCON x NIKE

Fashion heavy-hitter COMME DES GARCONS is back with a new sportswear collab with NIKE. We only have a tease thus far, but the potential for this partnership is pretty huge. The new drop will include a sleek bomber, light jacket (in all black) and some mesh shirts with big format graphics. See for yourself at the link here.

VOL 17: SUPREME x STONE ISLAND, BELLA HADID & TRAVIS SCOTT

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. SUPREME x STONE ISLAND CHAOS

The collabs continue. Supreme and Stone Island dropped a new series of pieces this week, and well, shit got crazy. Apparently there is such a thing as too much hype because the London release was completely shut down by the cops. The Unknown Vlogs did a great job of capturing the madness. Check it below.

2. BELLA HADID ON SNEAKER SHOPPING

Complex welcomed runway stay Bella Hadid on their show 'Sneaker Shopping' this week. The super model gave a run-down of her affinity for kicks, her newly inked Nike deal, and even showed off her custom Jordan x OFF-WHITE I's gifted by her pal; Virgil Abloh. Oh. Ya. Then she dropped about 2 racks on new gear. Check the video below.

3. TRAVIS SCOTT ON FASHION

Travis Scott and Hypebeast linked up for a quick interview talking about his fashion role models. Who do you think they are? I would wager that your guess was probably wrong. Check out the interview below. It's an interesting glimpse into the mind of a man that has taken the merch game to a new level.

VOL 16: OFF-WHITE'S JORDANS, GUCCI MANE, A-COLD-WALL SS18

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. IS THE HYPE REAL ON OFF-WHITE'S JORDANS?

Complex's online show 'Don't Believe the Hype' took on a review of Jordan Brand's latest collab with Virgil Abloh of OFF-WHITE. The show gets random people around the office of Complex Media to first decipher the real pair of sneakers from a fake, then provide their opinion as to if the kicks are worth the hype. What hype you ask? Well right now this OFFWHITE x Jordan 1 sneaker is re-selling for a cool $2,500. Check the video below.

2. GUCCI MANE LAUNCHES DELANTIC

Gucci Mane may be one of the hardest working people in hip-hop these days. On top of the endless recording by Gucci, he has now released a new clothing line that is getting some real hype. DELANTIC's first effort is comprised of several graphic tees in various colour-ways. Check out my favourite one below, and see the rest of the drop here. It will be interesting to see how this line builds as we head into 2018.

DELANTIC TEE

3. A-COLD-WALL SS18

British brand A-COLD-WALL recently dropped their Spring/Summer 2018 collection. This brand has such a unique and true aesthetic. From the garment construction all the way to the photo edits. When you see A-COLD-WALL, it can only be A-COLD-WALL. I really enjoy what these people create. They have managed to develop a very progressive subsect of streetwear seemingly all to themselves. Check it out some looks here

VOL 15: A$AP ROCKY x GUCCI, SUPREME & LONDON FASHION WEEK

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. A$AP ROCKY x GUCCI

A$AP Rocky is a style icon. Plain and simple. At Fashion Week in Milan, Rocky put together an all GUCCI outfit that broke the internet. See for yourself below. GUCCI is back for real (Shoutout to GUCCIGHOST).

2. SUPREME GRAPHIC TEES

Shocker. Supreme is back with more heat. Their latest drop is an ode to a 1980's punk documentary called "The Decline of Western Civilization". Could the timing be any better? I think not. Check the tee below.

3. LOOKS FROM LONDON FASHION WEEK

If your looking for the new wave, look no further than London Fashion Week. So many people came to the shows last week wearing their best in (streetwear and high fashion). High Snobiety put together a dope snapshot of some of the best fits. Check it out here.

VOL 14: THE NBA'S INTERNET JERSEY, ACNE STUDIOS, SWIZZ BEATZ

Welcome to Cool Pants. Here are 3 things that happened in streetwear this week:

1. NBA INTERACTIVE JERSEYS

In a world that is completely connected to the internet it was only a matter of time before your clothing was as well. Nike unveiled their NBA Connected Jersey this week. A jersey you can put your phone up to, and get access to exclusive sneakers and content. It will be interesting to see how this feature develops in the coming months. Check out the video below to get an idea of what it's all about.

2. ACNE STUDIOS HITS SAN FRAN

Acne Studios has expanded to a storefront in San Francisco. Why is this news you should care about you ask? Because the store looks absolutely insane. The Swedish brand played on a Golden Gate Bridge motif to deliver a truly unique space. Check it out below. Holyyyy.

3. SWIZZ BEATZ x BALLY COLLAB

Swiss fashion label Bally paired up with the extraordinary producer Swizz Beatz for an incredible array of high quality leathers, shoes, and other wears. This collab features popping cartoonish visuals with a vibrant colour palette to match. Believe it or not, Swizz cites folk art as a prevailing influence on this line. Check out some of the feature pieces here.
